Do you have another lens, or access to another lens you could try on the same body? A camera shop, for instance, would let you swap lenses long enough to find out that solves the problem. If an different lens will auto-focus on the body you know the lens is at fault. If not, you're probably looking at the AF motor, or something related, needing repair....</blockquote>
