Are Trumps tariffs affecting lens prices?

FWIW, there are still a few left offered at the sale price to be found on Amazon.

Are Trumps tariffs affecting lens prices?

I've been looking at a lens (NIKKOR Z MC 105mm f/2.8 VR S Macro Lens) and was getting ready to pull the trigger on it. Yikes! It jumped up over $200 in price overnight! Is this a result of the tariffs?

    Wireless remote flash trigger recommendations

Thank you! I found the Vello unit (actually, one transmitter with two remotes - perfect!) at B&H.

    Wireless remote flash trigger recommendations

I have an SB-5000 Speedlight paired to the WR-R11b remote. It works fine, but I'm not really too 'enthusiastic' about having the remote sticking out from the camera, attached by the small 10 pin connector. I've accidently hit it with my hand several times and am beginning to wonder how long it...

    Hot Shoe cover storage solution

Yes, in fact that picture illustrates the 3D part. I downloaded the printing plan, and my neighbor has a co-worker that makes 3D parts as a hobby. He's agreed to give it a try.

    Hot Shoe cover storage solution

Constantly losing my hot shoe cover, and looking for something as pictured that attaches to the camera strap. This is a 3D model I can have made for about $6, but then you have to pay almost $30 for shipping! Does anyone know of a source for a ready made gizmo like this, or have one to sell?

    Still life (and still learning)

I retired my D7100 and bought a new Z5. Wow, whole new learning curve. Took this still life of shells with a Nikkor 28-75/2.8 at 50mm, 1/40s, f/18. Natural light through a window with translucent blinds, no flash. Thoughts?

Solved - "Extend lens before taking photos" message

Sorry about the very late update, but Nikon checked the lens and found something wrong. They repaired it and sent it back, and everything works fine now.

Solved - "Extend lens before taking photos" message

I think I may have found a solution (or at least a workaround.) I just ordered a Nikkor Z 28-75mm f/2.8 lens. I checked the lens manual online, and there's no mention of having to extend before shooting. Should be here Friday. We're in the middle of a mini-monsoon season until Sunday, so it's...

Solved - "Extend lens before taking photos" message

The camera firmware needed updating (done) but the lens firmware was the latest (only) version. The lens does click in both fully extended and retracted. Nikon wants me to send in the camera and lens for service - who knows how long that will take, but I just started a photography class and not...

Solved - "Extend lens before taking photos" message

Turning on prior to extending the lens - the camera definitely doesn't like that. It's very odd, but if I turn the camera off, remove and reinstall the lens, extend it, and THEN turn on, it seems to work now and then. Very strange.

Solved - "Extend lens before taking photos" message

I have a Z5 with the 24-50 / 4-6.3 "kit" lens. 95% of the time I get the 'extend lens' message when I turn the camera on. Of course, the lens is already extended. I've removed the lens and cleaned the contacts with alcohol as suggested. No good. At times, it will work after reinstalling the...

    Hello from upstate South Carolina

Hello all. Sorry, I'm recently retired and moved here from Massachusetts, so I haven't quite gotten used to saying 'Hi y'all' yet. :) I've owned a D70 for a number of years, and, I admit, never seemed to have the time to learn how to properly use it. Now I have the time, so I upgraded to a...
