    Since I have "known" many of you on the forum for years, I felt it was okay to post this. Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our sweet cat, Cecily. My wife and I are really hurting from this. I wanted to post one more picture of our girl here as a sort of tribute.

    250,000 clicks

    I checked today and my D500 has had 250,000 shutter actuations. It's still going strong, but when I saw a used D500 with only 3,000 clicks on MPB.com for $1019, I jumped on it. Having a pair of D500s I feel like I'll be set for several years to come. Now, anybody want to buy a D7100 or a 300mm...

    About 40 yards from a Great Horned Owl nest, the female is NOT happy with a Cooper's Hawk being so close. The Copper's Hawk was chirping like crazy, and then left the area with the Mom in pursuit to make sure it was a full retreat.
