    I was taking pictures of this female Great Horned Owl and her mate in a shady spot this morning. Suddenly she bolted for the nest. So, wrong shutter speed, blotchy light, cluttered background. I still like the shot.

    B&W is a good brand. When in doubt, that's what I have always gone with and I've always been happy. Some cheap polarizers can degrade the image and produce strange color casts.
