Love the colors of Glossy Ibises, especially when the sunlight hits them.

Definitely Mallard. Never heard of a Swedish Black Duck. When I first checked Merlin it gave me a bunch of weird choices. Gadwall was the only choice that is in our area. Guess we'll never know for sure.

On March 1, I went to Lake Ida Park to look for the rare Oriole. Didn't spot it but found these ducks. Merlin couldn't ID it and gave me a bunch of possibilities, none of which I liked. When they flew off, Merlin said it heard a new bird - Mallard. Today I ran the same photos from the other...
