I know the rules say no limits in post, but I feel it does take something away from the challenge especially if you start altering the exposure in post. But let the votes speak for themselves as @Eyelight says, rules is rules.

Thought I'd try my 80-400mm with a TC14E on my V1 to see what I could get. This is equivalent to 550 x 2.7 = 1485 mm lens. Quite pleased with the detail but a little grainy.

Because the D750 is Full Frame the DOF is much more shallow than a smaller sensor camera, as @paul04 says you can preview it in the viewfinder.
