    White fringe

It's a natural thing. Here's an extreme example. We think of a leaf as having a smooth edge, but it's rough enough to catch the light and not block it as much as the rest of the leaf. The result is the edge is overexposed. This is more pronounced because of the dark background.

    Eyelight's Technique 52 for 2015

EV -4 Couple more buds at EV -4 before we move on. Really not enough light. The difference between these two is what was playing on the TV about 15 feet (5 meters) away. f/5.6 @ 8 minutes 34 seconds = EV -4 f/8 @ 17 minutes 6 seconds = EV -4

    Eyelight's Technique 52 for 2015

    Still playing with EV -4 Too much light in the darkness so had to adjust up a couple EV for the conditions. f/5.6 @ 8 minutes 36 seconds = EV -4 f/8 @ 8 minutes 36 seconds = EV -3 f/11 @ 8 minutes 37 seconds = EV -2

    Eyelight's Technique 52 for 2015

EV -4 Apparently caught this little flower yawning as it seems to have moved slightly at some point during the exposure. Parts of the flower have a double image, like it moved a little. f/8 @ 17 minutes and 6 seconds Crop of the flower. Looks like some parts moved more than others.

    Eyelight's Technique 52 for 2015

EV -4 Getting behind on this thread so figured I better get after it. This is one of a few EV -4 shots in a trial and error to see what light I need. This one a little dark and not much DOF f/5.6 @ 8 minutes and 33 seconds (SOOC) Decided I'm going to add some processed versions.

Not exactly. Screen capture, but just going for the crop size. ETA: Just figured out you cropped the crop and I was cropping the first image.

You might peruse the Automotive Forum and check the EXIF on each shot, might give you an idea or two. There's a few car shooters that might pop in here. @carguy is one that comes to mind.

Eyelight's First Click of the Day

Just to be fair to the masses (inquiring minds) that want to know, this is a genuine first click of the day and I am fairly certain it is an OOF 20:1 macro shot of the unprinted side of a 52mm lens cap.
