With the following one wrestling a grain of sugar I used my D800E, Tamron 90mm macro, Raynox DCR-250 and then cropped in. I was also using on board flash and flash diffuser.

NEW YEARS RESOLUTION!!! You know what we make resolutions and we tend to always break them. This year my Resolution is going to be simple but I think it will have an impact on many. I am going to take the year as it come's 'good and bad' with it's ups and downs and enjoy it for what it is...

Love my 90mm Macro... If you look closely you can see the flash and diffuser set up.

Here are a few more examples with diffuser and flash pointing straight up. As you can see there is some shadow but not much... And is easily eliminated if needed.

Well tonight after a few rums I thought I would try a few shots with the SB-910 on my D800E with 90mm Macro Tamron. As you will see I think, I am getting better softer light with the flash pointing 90deg with diffuser than 90deg with out. With out diffuser, look at the harsh shadows under the...
