Spotted this hornet's nest hanging right out above the road leading out to the farm. For a bit we thought it may have been abandoned ... until we rattled the branch it was dangling from. We didn't stick around to see how many came out to see who was knocking. :)

We took a little trip over to our farm, in rural SE Missouri, today. Glorious fall afternoon. Not much in the way of wildlife out (other than the three wild kiddos), but found a few things to shoot at nonetheless. Start with a few B&Ws.
