    Blue-faced Honeyeater. The iso crept up higher than I thought it would have ( I have it set to auto up to 3200 ). I thought I was in pretty good light, so just shot the pics without thinking about looking what the iso was, lesson learned, I would have dropped the shutter speed down a bit.

    Here are a few other photos I took with the Better Beamer. The settings are all different because I was experimenting, trying to learn what it could do. I didnt really stick with it long enough to become good at using it. One day I will have another try with it, it has got potential.

    I guess you might call it red-eye. This was shot in semi darkness, so the effect is more extreme than if the flash is used for a bit of fill lighting. The bird was about 30 meters from the camera from memory, the image is cropped.

    I needed a silhouette photo for a project. I set this scene up in my shed using a Scale model Toyota FJ Cruiser, a rock from my pool garden, a blue tarpaulin and a flood light.....and a little work with NIK.

    I had plans to post a shot of the floodwaters we have had around here lately. But after hearing news of family and friends houses and properties being inundated by the rising waters, I feel a bit depressed just looking at floodwater shots. I will just post this abstract shot instead....
