    Ok, I milked it tonight.

Well I gave it the old collage try tonight so to speak and seriously tried to take some Milky Way shots. These are the result as well as one zoom burst. Feel free to tell me they suck and I need to try harder. I can take it.:)

    Post your nighttime cityscape photos

Here's 3 that I've taken at one time or an other in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Long one was taken during a full moon night in 2012 with a D5100. The other two were taken the same night I got my new D800E. It was a rainy night with low clouds and erie natural light. Not spectacular but night...

    Star shooting is hard!

So to be truthful I haven't really tried to shoot stars. I love shooting at night but mostly for light painting and panoramas. The following shot was done during a full moon which is not ideal for stars at all but the D800E has such an amazing dynamic range that it managed to pick quite a few up...

    Post Your Landscape Photos

That's not a canyon Marcel, we call those Coulees;). You see where the white tent like structure is in the far parking lot? That's where most of the local shooters stand to get a shot of the bridge and valley. Much like this.

    D800E's power to resolve.

I am more and more amazed by how far THIS much resolution and a relative steady hand and sharp lens can go. The following picture was shot hand held on a D800E with a 70-300 VR F4.5-5.6 at 1/200 iso 100. The second one is the same only cropped 200%!!! While its not poster or calendar worthy it...

    Post your ultra-wide angle shots

My turn. Cliche I know but it's wide. Nikon 16-35mm F4. What a sweet lens!! Lundbreck Falls.

    800 or 800E ???

Well, you're mostly right. I really really love the D800E!! I never thought a camera could be THIS good. It really redefines my previous limitations. The sky is the limit. The camera however DOES NOT have an "auto" mode! ;) These are all pure shots. Signed converted and shrunk to jpeg and thats...
