    Godox V860II-N TTL Flash

I must have tuned into your wavelength because since I made my first post I spotted the battery information - which came as a surprise. I have a bucketful of rechargeable AA batteries which power most of my stuff so this is the preferred option and the model you recommend sounds just the ticket...

    Godox V860II-N TTL Flash

I am considering purchasing a Godox V860II-N flash gun to marry up with my D810 for close-up/macro photography using a home-made diffuser similar to one I used successfully on another marque of camera (apologise for the bad language ;)). My I tap into the collective wisdom of members for...

Thanks everyone, another great challenge and cracking images. Guilty as charged BF Hammer. In my defense, these are just a few that I kept back for supporting delicate cut flower stems for close-up and macro photography to avoid damaging the plants. We have an excellent plastic recycling...

    Photoediting software for D5300

Hmm, the original poster hasn't been seen since 2019 @robert663 so your post may be falling on deaf ears, however, it may help someone else that comes across this thread. :)

Weekly Photo Challenge Mar 5th - Mar 11th "Half."

First out of the stalls this week when I took the opportunity for this shot. A 'State-of-the-Art' system back in the day, I'm told this set was a wedding present circa 1929/30 and saw many years of service before being consigned to long term storage (shoved in a shed). The weights, starting with...

Solved: D810 Tethered Shooting and Dell PC problem

UPDATE #2 I have just restarted my PC again after finishing tidying up my PC after all the preceding carry-on, deleting unwanted screen images etc and emptying the trash can and blow me down, contrary to the final sentence in my previous post #15, the camera is now visible in File Manager...

Solved: D810 Tethered Shooting and Dell PC problem

UPDATE The problem has been resolved after a tip from Russ Beuker of ControlMyNikon.com, a company that offers camera automation tool software and for whom I had done some beta test reports. When hearing of my problem, he mentioned an issue with a USB driver installed by another camera...

Affinity Photo 2.6 object selection roll out (not beta)

I also use Infinity Photo and what is becoming really concerning for me now is that sooner or later Adobe is going to come along with their big fat cheque book and make the Canva, owners of Affinity software, an offer that can't be refused - and we all know where that will end.

Solved: D810 Tethered Shooting and Dell PC problem

Thanks for your input @BF Hammer. I didn't make it clear enough earlier that the reason I tether the camera is not only for the live view on a big screen for focussing, but I use Helicon Remote software to actually control the camera from the PC and the most important aspect is that when focus...
