@siamthai1 If you want to change the parameters for yourself, they said you can. You can shoot your themes in any order, not necessarily your listed order. In other words your list is say Birds, Old, Dirty, Portrait... You can shoot Old first, Portrait next... Fill your themes as they are...

@aroy I think you use the same PP software as I do, View NX2 and Capture NX-D. Anyway, would you give a short synopsis of what controls/steps you use to recover the shadows & highlights as you demonstrated in your posts here? I don't think I have ever done anything so dramatic in the changes...

A foggy day and Charlie (the dog, not RocketCowboy :D) wondered if I was going to take him for a walk. He was waiting and watching.

This is across the street (dirt road), so I guess it will qualify for a "Street" photo. It is about as close to Street Photography as I can get out here in the boondocks. HA!

This is the original of the 3rd picture before cropping . Here are a couple more cropped using common ratios. I had originally cropped it to get rid of the road and weeds in the foreground. I didn't want you to see how unkempt my yard really was. Ha!

OK, I have been following the "Print Size" thread and then started playing around to see what cropping would do for sizes for printing and display. In Capture NX-D, cropping has a few options of size ratios ie 16:9, 4:3, 6:6 etc. and free cropping. Now for the question. Some of my pictures...

Thanks for your comments. I had the idea that the large bales stacked on the left would give a perspective of size. Here is the same picture cropped to get rid of the bales on the left. And one more that was taken at the same time with a slightly different perspective. Better or not? Thanks
