Hi, I'm back with some experimental shots. The two photos below were shot at the same scene (indoor with artificial light w/o flash, focus point: yellow flower) and one-after-another timing but in different modes and exposures. I wonder what factor(s) would cause the second photo to be messed...

Nice shots (I like the first one), Moab. Tried another round of moon shot (still in backyard). To my surprise and desperate, D3500 won't let me make a shot if object is not in focus! Tried focusing from different angles, different spots, different focal lengths, ... only got two shots...

@dawg, I didn't look in the viewfinder, just live view. But I am pretty sure now the moon problem is caused by high iso and long speed... and maybe ADL also, and it was a helicopter flying there... @hark (Cindy), Oh, I have ADL on all the time since I got my D3500.. and I checked RAW images...

Hi, Finally, made a (city) night sky shot experiment. First notice and impression: light pollution was big, something wrong with the moon (suppose to be a new moon), stars unexpectantly and surprisingly showed up in images... need your comments.

Hi, Another newbie's question: Can you set and use "Timer" and "Shot number" in "M" and "Auto" mode (D3500)? I tried timer = 5", shot number = 3, and shutter speed = 3" (in "M" mode), in "M" mode I got 5" delay and only one 3" shot, no second, third shots. In "auto" mode, I didn't get 5"...
