    Nikon 16-85mm Test

Last Saturday I did some test shooting more. All pictures out of camera. Didn't use any correction programs or camera in correction. I like the 16-85 and its performance.

    Michael's Captured Impressions

Blue fish (Soragoi koi) in a cave at Thampla Namtog Phasuea National Park. It was deep down, 6 meters and approx. 1.5 meters wide. I had only mt 18-55mm Kit Lens and tried to capture as good as possible. Fish symbolize wealth and health in Chinese culture.

    Michael's Captured Impressions

We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open. One morning, when I got my D5100, I captured the street lamp opposite my house. I thought that it looks so peaceful.

6 years ago, at the beginning doing photography with a D80, I went to the Chonburi's Flower Exhibition. Please forgive me that the following photos are not as beautiful captured as I saw the original flowers.

    D5100 built in HDR mode?

It was my first shot after one day trying my D5100 in HDR mode. Since that I never use it. I don't know why but I thing shooting HDR in the old-fashioned way is better.

    Auto Distortion Control

The 16-85mm Lens has a bit Distortion. I testet LR, Capture and the in Camera Auto Distortion Control. The Auto Distortion Control got the best and fastest result for jpg's files. Capture NX 2 was for RAW the best. DxO Optics Pro 8 was very slowly. Lightroom 3.6 is almost as good as Capture...
