Sleepy Mom and baby this morning

Well before sunrise this morning. Mom returning to the nest. 1/8 sec hand held and braced against car door. 36,000 ISO. Lightroom denoise and a little more sharpening than usual. Came out okay. Way better than the good old days when I would push process Tri-X Pan to 1600 and get salt and pepper...

Dad had just brought Mom some breakfast on this windy morning. It was still pretty dark (51,200 ISO.)

I spent about 90 minutes or so watching this Great Blue Heron hunt yesterday. One of my favorite things to do!

Thanks, Robin. No TC, but a lot of time standing or sitting quietly. The ducks move away when I arrive, but slowly get used to me. There are enough people in the area that hey are somewhat used to human presence, too.

A group of Bluejays were harassing this Great Horned Owl this morning. The owl has a nest site nearby, so she's not going anywhere no matter how much the Bluejays might wish she would leave.

Plenty of crawdads and tadpoles in this pond
