Went out to buy cartridges for my old HP printer, and came home with this.

Went back again today. Practice was terrible. This place is like a cave, I pushed the ISO up to 1600, took the shutter speed down to 125, plus I had the flash at +2 compensation. Shots are noisy as shit!! Even at ISO 800 as soon as I started pulling shadows and things the noise is tolerable, but...

How bout a decent laptop first? (just sayin) I don't know what laptop you have now....(oh wait................., yes I do) but it will probably start smoking and causing a home fire as soon as you try to transfer a D800 Raw file.

I took this shot with my D300. This was a part of a series of test shots to see what the LO1 ISO setting looks like on this here cam. The base ISO is 200, but I've determined that I will be shooting at the LO1 setting, no matter what some asshole photo guru on youtube tells me.

What happened to the D3S plan @Bill16?

One thing we also have to consider is how often @SteveL54 will be using his tripod? Is he using it all the time or just the occasional night or waterfall shot here and there? These things are important to know when we're spending other peoples money. ;)

I loved that shot when you first posted it, and I still love it. (Mental note. Call @Bill16's used camera and ice-cream shop, and see if they have a used Df for sale.)

I'm actually very surprised that I didn't take that many shots in March. Also surprised that I would pick a Black And White as my favorite for the month.
