Lots of preening

This gator was moving rapidly, when it got near the berm it stopped. I waited about 5 minutes, then decided to move along. As soon as I turned my back, I heard a splash and it went under the overhanging trees and I never saw it again.

Outtake for weekly challenge - worn out

I think I've narrowed this down to Sorghum. It's growing next to my bird feeder.

In my yard

Purple Gallinule nest with two eggs. Mom came home with a dragonfly in her mouth and another photographer accidentally moved to her left and I missed the shot.
