    Thank You!

Just an FYI: The "A-OK" hand signal that a lot of western countries use as a symbol of approval has a very different meaning in other parts of the world, and is considered rude or even offensive. Similar to what we associate with "flying the bird" with the middle finger. This symbol has also...

    D7000-d300s

By the same logic then, a 2011 Ford Taurus is a better car than a 1967 Ford Mustang because it has newer technology. The D300s is a step up the progression of Nikon's product line, and much more expensive, for a reason. A newer sensor doesn't make a better camera. The D300s is a pro body and is...

    Show off your desktop!

This is a common thread on a lot of techie/creative type forums, so I figured we might as well have one here. Your desktop can say a lot about who you are, and I'm curious as to how many of you are using your own photos as wallpaper. So... Show off your desktop! Here's mine:

    New Threads/New Posts RSS Feed?

Maybe I'm just not seeing it, but do New Topics and New Posts have their own RSS feed? I'm customizing my Rainmeter desktop and would like to have those. I see where I can subscribe to RSS feeds in various forums, but not a feed that summarizes all of the new stuff posted.

    Any Strobists Here?

It's rare that I shoot with only 1 light these days, but the effect certainly does have its place once in awhile.

Outdoor photos are too dark have to change them with D-lighting

Without seeing any photos, my guess is that if D-Lighting is making that much of a difference, you are shooting high contrast images that are metering incorrectly because of the Auto setting. When using Auto mode, you're always going to get the camera's "best guess" when it comes to metering...

Plates and mugs on the shelf..

I agree as well. The perspective here is a bit skewed. For a shot like this, it's important to get the angle and height of your camera correct. Anything above and/or below lens height will distort the further away from the lens they get. For the best effect, you might have needed to be...
