    Sb200/300/400/500???

I had the SB910 and the SB700 both of which had the option to adjust the output. No clue about the others. My SB910 needed to be sent in for repair. The cost was more than I wanted to pay but got the repair completed anyway. It wound up breaking again outside of the warranty period even though...

The settings have to be changed by walking over to the flash to change them. They cannot be changed through the trigger that you have on your camera. :)

I don't think you can trigger a non-Godox flash off camera when using your Godox trigger except if it is set to optical slave (never tried it with my NIkon flash so not sure if it is possible). Godox makes the X1R-N Wireless Flash Receiver which will integrate with your Godox system and will...

I inherited some film-era Nikon stuff.

Forgot to mention I still my use Nikon SC-17 sync cord on my Stroboframe flash bracket. Although the cord is listed online as a remote cord, it's not a remote control cord in the usual sense. It allows a flash to communicate up to about 3 feet away from the camera body while the flash is being...

I inherited some film-era Nikon stuff.

So did you keep the SB-24 flash? I have a few Godox flash units but last summer decided to try one of my SB-28 flashes. The older Nikon SLR flashes will work in manual mode on DSLR's (but not TTL) – and it worked perfectly. The only downside is the clear plastic cover over the flash tube has...

    LIGHTROOM PRICE INCREASE

For those who ONLY use Lightroom, Adobe Camera RAW is supposed to be free. It lacks the organizer that LR offers. The tools used to be the same (although with a different layout) but not sure if that is still the case. So if you don't need the organizer or Photoshop, you might want to check out...

    fstoppers critiques top 2024 photos

There are some incredible photos they cover including one of a nebula. Even if you don't have a lot of time to watch all of it, at least consider forwarding through to see some of the images. The nebula and the boy with the flag were my favorites.

Did you see Horoscope Fish's response? Have you tried to remove the lens and put it back on the body without pressing the release button?

And if you are on a PC/Mac, consider installing an app to delete cookies. I like Cookie AutoDelete. It allows me to only delete cookies, cache, etc for just the website I'm using at the time. Once in a while I have to delete cookies when I on FB with my Mac.

    Snow action

While watching one of Gavin Hoey's YouTube videos (looking for holiday light info), I came across this one. Towards the end, he added a smoke machine, took the photo, then in post he filled in snow with a free Photoshop snow action. He links the action in his comments. If you forward the video...

    Nikonites T-Shirts and Hats

Is it? I bought the men's shirt (not sure I saw an option for women's). The men's shirt is very durable – like you said, they are very good quality.

    Nikonites T-Shirts and Hats

Many years ago on the previous forum, the Nikonites owner ran a contest to create a Nikonites t-shirt graphic. Then he posted it on Zazzle where we can order t-shirts (the aperture shirt was very popular). Below is the link if anyone is interested. Just not sure what the last shirt is on the...

    Tracking down a falcon

Have you ever photographed moving subjects? They can be REALLY fast moving across your field of view. Just be sure you have settings dialed in ahead of time *if* you don't have them set up already. In the past, I volunteered to take photos for a falconer. Standing literally a few feet away...
