    Autofocus Button for MB-N14

On my Z6III I have the MB-N14. Would like to program the AF-ON button the same as the AF-ON button on the camera, which is set up for back focus. I set it for AF-ON or Same as AF-ON and it isn't focusing. I tried to program the Vertical multi selector for Select center focus point and it...

    Focus Question

Try back button focus. Normally camera will focus when shutter release is half way depressed. With back button you can set focus, re-compose and what you focused on remains in focus.

Should I shoot JPG or RAW?

You can set camera to record Raw on one memory card and JPEG on the other. You can set camera to record RAW on one memory card and JPEG on the other. If the JPEG is good, use that. If exposure, white balance or something else needs changing, you have the raw file you can modify.

    Wedding Photography a Dying Industry?

Yes, technology has made some aspects of photography easier, but the skill of the photographer is paramount. If one doesn't understand posing and hasn't mastered lighting, and doesn't know how to compose, they won't be a good wedding photographer.

It's GOOD to be back! Birding tele suggestions?

I use a Z6III with Nikon's 200-500. Works well. I Shoot a lot of birds and wildlife. It is supposed to focus slowly but I've never had a problem. The 180-600 Z mount gets a lot of great reviews. It is a bit expensive. If you can afford it I'd go with 180-600.

    Advice on Focus Peaking

Shooting in a church, and it's dark. Autofocus doesn't work well, so going manual. On Z6III Focus Peaking, which sensitivity setting works best in dark, 1, 2 or 3? Thanks.

    Charging issue MB-N14

I charged both EN-EL15C batteries last week in a charger. After a week in the bag both batteries show 93% charge. Decided to try charging in the MB-N14. Charger has USB- C port. After 48 hours battery A is at 100% but battery B is still 93%. I understand A charges first, then B. Questions...

    Dolphin

That is a great photo! I had focus set with a large box and in animal mode. I think that's how it was in focus being that I wasn't looking through the viewfinder.

    Dolphin

I think so. I was looking over the top of the camera when I saw it. I hit the back focus and shutter release, then looked through the viewfinder and didn't see it. I got lucky with the shot.

    Shutter Speed

Thanks. This is different. I'm not setting the camera to the highest shutter speed. Last time I used it I turned it off at 1/1000th of a second, and when I turned it on it was at 1/16000. Wondering why it is doing that

    Shutter Speed

I noticed if myZ6III is set on shutter priority that every time I turn it on it defaults to the fastest shutter speed. Not a problem, I just reduce it. Is there a setting to avoid this? Thanks.

    Exposure Z6III

Maxrix, shutter priority, Nikon 200 500 mm. Photos too large to attach. I thought camera was shooting Raw but set to JPEG. The menus on this thing drive me crazy. Two settings for Raw I finally found out. Darker photo f5.6, 1/2500, 64000 ISO, 420mm. Lighter photo f5.6, 1/1000, 64000 ISO...
