How to do panoramas 360 degree

A guy wants me to do pictures of a looong room (my work), as a 360 degree picture. I said it might be a little weird with such a long picture.. I will go and try it out, but got some rookie questions: Should I use the same aperture all the way around, even though the room are very small but...

Hello Camera - my daily photos

Missed a good shot yesterday, didn't have my camera with me. Thunderclouds, 2 floor building, windows being restored on 2. floor so it looked kind of thrashed - just when I was looking, a big black bird flew over, I really saw the picture for me. Friday a few of my concert pictures are being...

    Family portraits - please critique

I tried, lol! Instead of saying cheese, I got the oldest kid to say a bad word hehehehehe. Thats why he's smiling. I am sure you will do great! I really though a lot about compositions when I did these, so I focused on that, instead of "uh am I gonna do something wrong" lol. And in my head I...

    Family portraits - please critique

7 pictures from today, I have a few more but came to think about, I'd rather have your critique now, before finishing and mailing the pictures. I am very new at photographing people, but got a lot of good advice in here and really tried to think when I was doing these. Several have been made...

Hello Camera - my daily photos

Tried some more of that nature stuff, its so hard: Not happy about this. How in the world do you work with so much sun, shining through clouds?

    Lenses for action?

Can you recommend any fast lenses? I would prefer a zoom but are a prime faster? Do you know if 70-300mm are the same/faster/slower as 70-200mm. Would an extension ring do anything to speed? If I was to go for an extra 100mm for my 70-200 (I know it takes a stop or two at aperture).

    Kelvin white balance

Yeah, I thought about that but I dont have the raw file. Tried a little with color balance in PS, but I dont know that filter so good, so a bad result. With more layers and a raw file, you might get something blue. It should also be a least 2 separate layers, as there are a tint of gold (blue...

    Questions about land/cityscaping?

I got a wide angle (12-24mm) and I use Google street view a LOT. I also take detours when driving somewhere, to spot places. Think my problem is seeing the composition, when I'm standing there? If you got websites/flickr pages/whatever you would recommend, someone who do great landscape...

    Questions about land/cityscaping?

I'm still stuck with photographing landscape - that is, whenever I'm not having a dog in the picture. Seems I'm much better with composition when I got something to composite around. Do you know any good reading stuff? Read a lot in danish, but I still dont get shots I'm happy about. Second...

Hello Camera - my daily photos

Last shots from the weekend are here: http://nikonites.com/portrait/14070-different-portraits-3.html#post157706 So I learned a LOT. 1: Think about setting up some restrictions when doing free work! Maybe 2 days and around 40 different shootings were a bit too much. Some wanted just 1 picture...

    Critique/help needed (people portraits)

Ahh, nice. I got Nokia and dont have a lot of choices in apps, but I'll remember this, think I'll go for an Iphone at some point. Still a pic from the weekend, so done wrong, but I tried to edit my way out of some of the errors (lighting in particular). Far from perfect, but better, I think?

    Critique portrait

For this pic, placing an eye in 2 lines works (imo), as the dog is looking into the picture and the body lays through the pic: But anyhow, I am glad for all your answers, its always interesting to hear what other people see and you definitely gave me stuff to think about :)

    Critique/help needed (people portraits)

Every once in a while, Im asked to do a picture with dog and owner together. This makes me panic a little bit, lol. Do you have any idea how I could have made these pictures better? My own thought is, I need to ease up (down actually) with the aperture. But will I get it all sharp then? And...

    Critique portrait

I did actually think a bit about rules of third, I just didnt place an eye in a corner: (Screenshot from Photoshop) Thanks for your reply. Once I read, that when you look at a picture, you "read" it from the bottom and up in right corner, naturally. Could be that the bright spot may just...

    12 point system for critique

I read the rules and Im feeling......... wow. Its too much. Maybe I dont know anything about the light in a picture, but I got just 5 words for the composition - wont I be allowed to post then? When I write from my phone, it would take me like 1 hour to get through all those points. I do...
