Through the trees at the camp site

Doing wood pecker types of things; knocking on the tree, peeling bark, finding bugs. Small bird about 2-3 inches. I've seen Northern Flickers and Downey woodpeckers in my yard but this is a new one to me. Anyone know what kind of bird this is?

@Dawg Pics Thanks for the heads up about this comet. I tried 3 nights in a row and got clouds the first 2. I thought I was going to have to strain hard to see it, but nope. Its absolutely visible,(though tiny) without aid.

The D7500 does not have IBIS, however it does have VR while in live view video mode set to 1080p. Something I accidentally discovered is I can take pictures while in live view video mode thereby giving my shot stability. I notice I have the extra crop, but is there any other drawback to using...
