    Recommended Nikon 35mm SLR?

Well I'm sorta new to film slr's but I went for the all magical F4s and also a N90s. The F4 will take pretty much all Nikkors and has a marvelous feel and can manually set with real dials and knobs. The N90s is another marvel.Takes tons of lenses and can go from the ease of a point and shoot to...

    My 7100 Waaaaaaa!

So lenses didn't want to lock, I could remove them without pressing release, auto focus nope. I called Nikon service, got a nice rep, Yup I'm still in warranty. Fast follow from Nikon in e-mail. So tomorrow I'll be sending her for service. So no photos for a while. Back to my F4s and N90s. Until...

The Beast and 960mm of glass

The focus is a challenge but that's due to vibration or stupid little puffs of wind or a truck goin down the street. But I got this nice one of the Moon. It's with the tc-301 and 1.3 crop factor.

The Beast and 960mm of glass

When folks ask me , what do you like about that camera, I respond with---everything! Today I received a TC-301. So I got out the Nikkor 300mm 4.5 edif and plug it in for a whopping 600mm of glass. Wowee! Then I said to myself, See if you can add a TC-16a. Yowser! 960mm of glass!!! Does not work...

    Minolta Weathermatic

So it just kept calling me. I had a Minolta 16ps back in the late 60's, most everyone thought it was a light meter. This one takes 110 film and is good to 5m. Lomography and my shop that I go to with film, Blue Moon(Portland,OR) carry 110 film. and it comes with a custom timer(hoo ha!) ...

    Nikon 55-300mm

An overlooked lens. I got mine along with an 18-140(another superb unsung lens) as part of a kit and I too am very happy with it. Then again I haven't met a Nikkor that I didn't like!

Infrared D7000 conversion: capable of thermal imaging?

You're welcome. Well ya' got me going. and this was done in the D7100 using the monochrome setting with a "red" filter.Of course it's a digital filter but I shall soon be experimenting with IR on film. IR film itself is pretty spendy and there are conversions out there. $$$$$. Yeah there are...

    D7100 Night Vision

So with the Moon behind clouds and one not so close street light I decided to see what "night vision" could do at it's mega iso. Lotsa noise but interesting, Not something I'll use often though.

And then I looked through the F4

and was amazed at the screen view(std.DP-20) before me. It is interesting to see the progression from the F4 to the N90s to my D7100. The command dial no no not on a 4.Gonna put it through some low light shooting. It's got Fuji Superia X-tra iso 800. Oh boy , oh boy!!!! ;) ;) ;) ;)
