The cat was done with the Tamron 200-400mm f/5.6 and the spider with a Nikkor Micro 55mm f/2.8

From a spider to ice bubbles trapped in ice, the Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 is one heck of a lens and it's lovely as a straight lens also.

I used a Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 for this and cropped a whole bunch but I got a neato photo!

It's very close but I give it to the F4s just a tad over the F5. No command dials but dials for the functions and the sound it makes when the shutter fires---music to my ears! Oh and it looks so darned good! and the back too!

ice bubbles there are days when my stupid arthritis very much limits my excursions outside so I seek the mundane at home. When I plopped this chunk of ice into the kitchen sink I knew I'd have fun photographing it. I did!

So in another effort to calm my G.A.S. I purchased a Nikon ES-1 Slide Copier.Yes I do have an Epson V600 scanner but the thought of using The Beast to copy slides was intriguing. Well I have had it for a few days and have shot the slides in Daylight and tonight I used a cfl lamp with daylight...

Well I just got a Nikon ES-1 slide copy attachment.Easy peasey to use. My Nikkor 55mmMicro f/2.8 on a PK-13 onto my D7100, insert slide, focus, click, and voila!!!! Much faster than my Epson V600! here's examples of my first tries. not too shabby. Next I'll try to copy them to color film.
