    Lawrence's 365 for 2014

Day 30 Today's fare is seed pods hanging around just waiting to be dropped and start doing their thing. And while I was at it I decided to play with that program (Premium Effects 8) again and came up with this which is just one of hundreds of options.

    Lawrence's 365 for 2014

I was playing around with Perfect Effects 8 that @Michael drew our attention to while it was available for free. This is my "shoe" shot which previously had errors in the corner. One click and the problems are gone. Quite a neat tool and it seems to get better and better.

    Weight Watchers Weigh in

Saw this cute little guy on this lily pad. A long way off in the safety of the lily pads and reeds. There were 4 little chicks that I saw and they wouldn't venture too far as mom was very strict on them. I had to crop a lot so excuse the focus - just look and say "Awwww…. how cute!"

Day 29 Lots to choose from today but most can go in other threads so I chose this leaf caught in a water trap.

    Post your Tree Photos !

This is under learning photography so I guess I can post here. I am undecided if this works and tending towards "no it doesn't" although I do like the "painting" look or is that just my eyes playing up?

Day 27 Turned out to be a shoe day although I have posted a few pics to the flower thread too and will go out later for an afternoon stroll to take some more. But for now here are some shoes - I can't decide which ones I like best. Except for the last one the only changes were crops and of...

    Manfrotto Head

I was considering buying a tripod (2nd hand as funds permit) and was looking at the manfrotto range for speed and ease. Most are out of my league. So my parsimonious brain got to work and I removed the old fashioned head from my Velbon and figure it will take a manfrotto head. Progress YAY...

    Lawrence's 365 for 2014

Day 25 Awesome day because my camera seems to be functioning just fine. Although I still want to have it checked out to be certain. It was a beautiful sunny day here and I decided I wanted to do two things: 1. Use my 35mm prime 2. Do a panorama - my first ever so it was all uncharted territory...

    D5100 Shutter panic

All hands on deck! My shutter seems to be playing up and I am hoping it is a setting that I have inadvertently changed. The shutter is only working intermittently. Seems to work in live view but not when shooting through the viewfinder. In view finder mode I get [r10] where the shutter speed...
