Jan 17th. Got home just in time before the light completely went away. Stepped out on the back porch with the D7000 and sigma 10-20.

From colorful to B&W, this probably has to do with my present mood. I felt like doing a snapshot like I did with old film cameras. One second exposure without mono or tripod will get you that look every time. I'm still under the weather as far as the flu is concerned. Better days to come.

Here's another that was not HDRed. Just RAW processed with the "oil painting" effect again. I kind of like this but am afraid I might be using it too much...

Jan 15th We can never despair with weather. It can change quite fast. And it did just while I went out for groceries, so when I came back, the river was just desperately waiting to be HDRed. :) I made two versions, first one Second with a little "oil painting" filter that I masked here...

Jan 14th. Spent the day in bed with the flu so I'll have to post my army, ready for action. I'm still feeling under so the game tonight is not going to be easy to win. Maybe if you all wish me good luck...

Jan 12th Raining and the nice white snow is turning to mush. So it's inside pics. Got my 55 1.2 on the D600 and wanted to try backlit scene. I noticed that the closer the objects are, the narrower is the DOF.

Jan 11th. Just had a bit of time to catch this tonight. Hand held with the 600 and 55 1.2 @iso 2000.

Jan 9th. I had to drive to a customer and the river I was following was just too nice not to be photographed. The fog had just begun lifting. I couldn't get wide enough so I took 4 vertical shots that I later merged in CS6 This is a single shot:

Jan 8th: Got really cold last night and the trees near the river got frosted. This one got the "oil paint" filter

Jan 7th Might be the end of the Xmas lights soon, so one last one of a neighbor's house at twilight.

Jan 6th, I had to go out to shovel the snow on my back porch. Took the camera out once I was done with the shovel.

Jan 5th, Last minute food shot. I made ginger-maple sirop marinated salmon with quinoa and green string beans for supper. It was absolutely delicious says my GF. :) D600, iso 2000, 16-35 f4 VR @ f5

Here is the shot I used today in my 365 thread. After I posted it, I wondered how it would look in B&W. Well, I think it adds character to it. What do you guys think?
