If you find the parts you need and would enjoy repair work, you could give it a go. I suspect with an impact like that you might find more damage than what you can easily see.
Notice anything missing? I am surprised at how often I see ducks with just one leg. I assume some predator grabs them by the leg, but the duck gets away. This Northern Shoveler hen seems to be quite healthy and getting along okay.
Welcome! Well, the screws can't be too expensive. You could always buy both of the screws you suspect are correct and give it a go. If it was me, though, I'd send it to Nikon and let them clean and calibrate at the same time. Anyway, good luck, and welcome again :)
I finally had to give up at a roadside rest stop recently. No water from the sinks, and nobody else was around. Automation isn't always what it's cracked up to be to be. Either that or I'm one of the living dead, too :D
