hello i was trying to take moon shots last night and tried to get shots with stars in them but the intensity of the moon washed them out? how can i get stars and moon in same shots? using my d3100 and 55-300mm vr or 18-55mm vr lenses

hi ok i think the reason i dont get good dof is, using the auto mode. so if i use auto for metering then go to manual which way would i go with the aperature to increase dof bigger or smaller?

Hello im looking at flashes trying to figure out the best for me.i think the furthest i need to light is 30ft.but what range do you all find is average.then how can i read flash models to determine which one i need?

hi does anyone have any experience using infrared filters on the d3100. from what i have read not all cameras can shoot infrared attached is a pic of the desired result that i copied from google .if so what filters gave good results and what adjustments are needed on the camera?
