Milkyway setting.

Well I got out my 85 1.4 and shot a series of sections of the milkyway, I allowed LR to stitch it together as a panorama. Here is the result, I am finding that maybe the D600 is better suited to milkyway shots. Just seem to be sharper or maybe it was my dodgy setup.

Star gazing, I could have light painted my car but didn't want to :) Also it is pretty freaky sitting in the bush with no phone reception and you can hear branches and twigs breaking around you, then you hear the sound of baby crocodiles and alot of splashing (territorial I think). I stayed...

Hey @Blacktop this is as best I could do quickly, there is a lot of light pollution by the looks of it. I think you are on the right track just ned to find a dark sky location :)

I would say if anything bring out your shadows a bit more and maybe try a graduated filter in some of the skies to enhance them even more. For example, increased shadow slightly, increased contrast.

I really love the colour that these guys are. This was taken with just the 90mm Tamron.

These guys are a regular at crossings like this, this is at Cahills crossing. These are handheld and at 5000 ISO :)

This poor old girl has been sitting collecting dust and bat poo for 10 months. Chuck a new battery in here and off she goes. Went for a quick drive this afternoon.

Normally there would be light from this ugly light pole.
