    4am

Well it is 4am and my last day off, the rain has gone but the humidity is at 93%. I am heading out to a wetland area for sunrise photos, and then I am visiting the Territory wildlife park which I had planned to do yesterday but it rained on my parade.

    Time-lapse test with D800

Well here I am sitting and was thinking "how hard could a time-lapse be" so I set my D800 out side in the back yard pointing straight up on my tripod. Time-lapse setting inputted (my best guess settings). Only 45 mins more of shooting to see my final results :)

My days off! Let the adventure begin.

Of late I have suffered the motivation to get out and take photos. I relate this due to the ever present heat (37deg C today) and the fact that I got into my mind that there was nothing to photograph in the "dry season". Honestly I could not be more wrong, all I need is motivation and a keen...

Photos taken with my 80-400mm VR lens

In here I will post photos taken with my Nikon 80-400mm VR, I have been told that it is no good for wild life photography. I have had it on my D80 and now my D800 and even though the focus is slow I think its manageable for most wildlife providing you have "alot" of light. Firstly taken with...

    Wide angle for D800

Hi guys I am looking at purchasing a decent wide angle lens for my D800, I currently have a 18-55mm VR DX lens. Other lenses I have are 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.4, 90mm 2.8 Macro and a 80-400mm VR. So I am guessing maybe something anywhere from 12 up to 50 would suffice. Does anybody know of a good lens...

Photomerge using CS6 and LR 4.0

After some great information from another user here I downloaded a copy of LR4.0 and have been re-processing my images. What are your thoughts on this? I wanted to reduce the blown out section on the left but keep the over all width.
