Tonights sunset at East Point.

The Blythe homestead was used by tin miners to mine the nearby tin mine, I decided to get a shot of it and the mikyway lined up quite nice. I had a friend stand in the homestead with his head lamp pointing out the door.

Well I went out with a few friends and re-took the shot of the Milky way and some Lost city formations they were lit by the 35% moon which was behind my right. This is a single shot using the Rokinon 14mm f/2.8.

Well I was sitting here with my 150-600 taking photos of birds, and along comes this 'ant' on the dog treats that I had on the table seeing as I dislike ants I am about to shake it off when I see it is different. I then found a palm leaf after taking a few experimental shots on my drink cup.

Well I have tried the Tamron out on varying conditions, and on the D800E I have found that the focusing can be a bit hit and miss. Here is a video that my girlfriend took using the Nikon AW1 of the big male lion responding to the revving of the landcruisers engine, its amazing how the sound just vibrates right through you.

Ntombi, has been hand raised and now roams free on the Private Nature Reserve. She loves the interaction with the guests and tends to stay close to camp, lazing around the swimming pool during the day, she will also go for walks with rangers and guests and may even hunt if she spots impala etc.

Ok I have finally got a full shot of the milky way, this is my first attempt at such a photo so I am quite happy with the result. The quality is majorly squashed here as the full size (reduced) is still 500mb. I had to wait until after 01:30am for the moon to set, the orange glow is a fire...
