    St. Judes.....my church.

Found in a tight nit community, St. Judes is where I attend mass. Salt of the earth, no frills, comfortable atmosphere....a church within a neighborhood. This is where I "recharge" myself at the end of a hard work week. It has been a crazy winter here, above average temps lately, but...

    "Brookside".......the inside, PART I

and it's Christmas time! Big crowds, low light, and rooms full of treasures. What a place......seriously, it is amazing to think of all that went into the making of this mansion. The woodwork, art, designs, etc. had to be absolutely time consuming and expensive.......craftsmanship not seen...

Festival of Trees at the Embassy.........

A tradition in my city, like others I'm sure, is to have businesses or individuals decorate Christmas trees and put them on display. In my locale that would be at the Embassy theater. The Embassy, or Emboyd theater as it was once called, is a very historic place. Built in 1928, it was Bob...

Spent some time at another local auto type museum..............

where it was very under lit, very cramped, and very interesting. I think my new Tokina 11-20mm F2.8 performed decently. Lots of unique memorabilia, including some Carl Casper stuff. Please excuse this newbie's grainy pics, these were hand held and the ISO was rather high:nightmare...

    2 hours in the woods.........

I spent a couple of hours on a sunny/rainy Sunday in a local nature preserve. Lots of little things to take pics of, if you take the time to look. A bit darker than I'm used to, but had fun trying! Not one critter was to be found though. Mushrooms o'plenty!

    Quick Tokina warranty question.......

I know alot of you purchase items from Adorama and B&H, so my question is thus: Why does Adorama advertise Tokina 12-28mm with " in the box" 2 year warranty and B&H has an "in the box" 3 year warranty? Are they different warranties? The lens are the same exact price. Thanks :)

The 42nd Annual Johnny Appleseed Festival

Every year my city has the Johnny Appleseed Festival..... and it is a big, well liked event. Whether John Chapman ("Johnny Appleseed") died in Ft. Wayne or not is up for debate....but his "grave site" is here LOL! This festival has over 200 vendors from as many as 40+ states who dress, sell...

    Auburn Fall Auto Auction 2016....

I live only 25 minutes or so from the Auction Park in Auburn, and the Fall auction is always a big show. 80+ thousand people in a four day event. Lots of cars, lots of money, and lots of testosterone. The weather was great, but with so many people it was difficult at times to get shots of all...

    What a Duesy!!!

I spent some time at a local car museum and took some shots. Indoors, low lighting, etc. provided a learning experience for this newbie. But I had fun:)
