It's on order. I spoke with Tamron customer svc. She told me that any Serial Number above 055391 will be compatible with a Z711. I pick it up on April 1st. Thank you all for your input.

Thanks Wev for your input. I'm going with the Tamron. Is there anything else you would recommend that I purchase with it? I'll probably order it today or tomorrow.

Thanks everyone. Now I'm even more undecided. I guess this is part of the fun. I'm on the list for the Nikon 200-500. I like the weight of the Tamron. I like the features on the Sigma. It's a confusing decision to say the least.

Our yard is full of drunk robins. We usually don't see robins here but there's a big flock in the Egyptian fig next to my house. It's full of fermenting berries and the robins are having a party.

I just put the Z7 on my C5 celestron. It's a Schmidt Cassegrain telescope. Going to try some astronomical shots tonight. Z7 told me it has to be operated in a manual mode. I have no clue how well it will work. Wish me luck

Thanks for your inputs. I will probably go with the C version. Weight is a factor and I don't shoot in the rain. I'd get wet :)
