A forum post here used the NIK plugin for Black and white, so I downloaded the 15 day trial and tried it, purchase prices is 199,, so a bit pricy, but.. here is an example of the edit.
This is Blog 11, daily additions added in the comment section, over 220 days so far or so, which is pretty amazing to me how fast time flies.
I went to the followup to the night photography class that I was co-hosting/teaching last night for the showing of the results.
All but a couple were...
I am pleasantly pleased on the quality of the image with the low cost 55-300 DX zoom,, I got this on a fire sale of 250 dollars, for my D7000 for a light weight package.
ISO 200, around 80mm, F14, 1/60th (hand held, so fairly slow shutter speed),
Not bad for a low cost megazoom.
Nikon D3000 10.2 MP Digital SLR 6 Piece Bundle with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S DX & 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED AF-S DX Nikkor Zoom Lenses for 399 at Amazon
do,, a 18x55 lens is 119
55-200 is 174
so,,, the camera is like 100 dollars..
I am not needing one, but for a starter kit,, a...
Well, I have a thread showing some of my d800 shots,, but what about the D7000, another great camera,
so,, let me start a thread.
Here are two recent edits from my D7000.
Friday! nice...
Well,,, I yesterday I ordered the water proof Nikon, going on a Jamaica trip, and am tired of trying to get shots with my old underwater film camera. It was not the old Nikon, but a dedicated underewater camera in one of those Yellow cases. It worked, but you never knew until...
I dragged out my F3,, and took a shot yesterday,,
laughs,, took a second to get used to the controls again, Gosh,, I love how
small the body is, fantastic.
Battery still good even though it sat on my self for 2 years... since last use..
I am going to shoot a few rolls just for fun.. and I...
Amazing how fast time flies, here is blog 10 of around 200 entries so far,
I was looking at that new 800 lens, yes serious glass, 18K worth,, can't see how they can justify it except for rariety.
Sometimes that happens where a good lens, becomes super expensive, not because of magic but...
I was looking at the stitched picture of the Inaugaral,,, and panned over to the Press viewing stage, LOTS of huge TelePhotos..
and ..
From my observation,, seemed to be about 3 or 4 Nikons per Canon. So,, looks like Nikon might be rebuilding Market Share among this group.
and those huge...
Well,, because I have been collecting for 40 years, I have a wide selection,,
but... I do find myself favoring certain lens..
Wide angle - 28 mm it just seems to be the right width on the FX,, Often I am unhappy with the 20 mm,, and find myself selecting the 28 more often.
Macro -> 105...
I am thinking that the 5100 addition is a bit too much for my collection, Brand new,, did about 40 test shots,, to confirm its an AOK camera. nice features, and would make someone a nice primary or backup camera.
I am thinking 450 dollars, I'll most likely ebay it,, but maybe a Nikonite would...
We spend so much energy, dollars, and even angst on lens,, a drug maybe,,, but in many ways,,, we are getting such incremental gains.
Here for example is a picture taken with perhaps one of the lowest rated Nikkor Zooms of all time.... the 43-86,, on a FM, about.... 30 years ago.....
take...
the current price of the D7000 is at an all time low of 896,, but.... guess what, all sold out! at Amazon at least.
I suspect that 896 is about as cheap but, who knows when the 7200 comes out,, its a great great camera
for 896 dollars.
Well, made the silly mistake to first try my 50mm D lens, duh,,,, so,, dug out the 18x55 VR G lens, which really is the right match for this camera, did a quick test with way past due flowers. Hand held, ISO 500, spot light, lens speed 1/250th,, F 5.6
I like the folding screen in back, can...
Here is a quote from an astronaut in the space station:
"We use primarily Nikon F2s and F3s, with a variety of lenses"
cool that Nikon is still used, but,, surprising that film is still being used, almost crazy, why not digital at this point? I guess the s means space.
I add to Blogs until about 20 entries.. So,, here is the Start of Blog 9
As the cameras image size keeps getting larger, then the upload speed becomes more of an issue.
I use my camera connection, and D800 supports USB 3 protocol, I am not sure about the
D600,, I tend to upload by directly...
