Great Egret - Sunny and Rainy day images

Maybe, I have to look into it. It isn't a bad idea. I maintain and aquarium and I have bags of dried fish food. Since it is all fresh water, dropping some of this near my "set up" might have some interesting results. Have to do it when the locals aren't around. Some people get really upset...

Radar Love moved to off topic

You know, I like to think I am a pretty level headed guy. I believe in Live and Let Live. I like to play by the rules. I generally can't stand our politicians. And every once in a while, I get riled up..... Coming home from a little photo shoot, I see this. A RADAR TRAP (and... a photo op...

Great Egret - Sunny and Rainy day images

I have been stalking this Great Egret for a few months now. There are 3 of them that fly together. Currently, they are on a river about 5 minutes from my home. I have yet to take the "perfect" image of an Egret yet, but I am working on it. These are all taken with the D800, my Nikon 300mm...

    Robotic D4s at the Olympics

Yawn. It's amazing who you can buy for so cheap! Here is MY gear room ... :highly_amused: My part time job that helped pay my way through University was working for a LCS chain. In the day, the Canon AE-1 was the big banana. Never liked the feel or look of their cameras then or now. So...

    D800 B&W Heaven

I converted an image I took to B&W and I think the D800 will be king of B&W photography. This is just an observation from trying out a few images. You be the judge...

    D800 Images

Great question Jeff. I have been holding the two side by side trying to figure out which of the two I like the feel of better. Believe it or not, they feel almost the same. The D800 is slightly beefier and a tad bigger. The D90 ON/Off button seems to be better quality or more substantial. I...

    D800 Images

I like to experiment while I learn. I had nothing to shoot in the backyard. I just looked around and shot what looked interesting. Pressed for time to go to a family BBQ. Why ISO 2000? No reason, I just picked it to see what it would deliver. NOT BAD!! Here are the specs on the Ladybug: ISO...

D800 is no longer restricted stock in Toronto

You can pretty much walk into most Nikon Authorized dealers and buy a D800 off the shelf! This was as of YESTERDAY. Seen it for myself, first hand and spoke to a rep who confirmed it. :)
