Visited the National Museum of Natural History at Harvard University yesterday...My wife took this in the glass flowers exhibit with the D7000 (yes these are hand made of glass...I cropped it a bit)...And the rest I took with the D800 w. 50 mm 1.4G.

Here's my version using PS... I agree with Scott, and would add that you need to shoot closer and underexpose a bit, also with as wide an aperture as possible to get rid of the busy background. There has to be a center of attention from which your eyes can wander around a bit.
