I took these shots of this Blue-faced Honeyeater yesterday, I used one of them for my "52 thread" This bird is not a common sight, though I have seen them around here a few times before.

This Jumper lives on the edge, he lives amongst the Greenants, the ants larvae is his food source. He is missing a leg off each side, I imagine from battles with the Greenants.

I took these shots todays, the gold Jumping Spider is #7 in my '52 thread. I chose the 2nd shot for my 52, do you think I made the right choice, I almost went with the first one but wasn't sure which was better.

When I got home yesterday afternoon there were a few Rainbow Lorikeets in the Umbrella trees. Colourful little buggers, and very noisy.....:)

We have had 250mm / 10" of rain in the last 5 days, so my creek has had a bit of a flush out. It is good to see it flowing nicely again.

    ISO 2000 in the D7100

I find iso2000 OK most of the time on my D7100, I have my auto iso set at 3200 max, some shots at 3200 are too noisy for my liking , but I do get some keepers. This shot is at iso2000...minimal noise reduction in PP.

    Ironwood's Pen Progression

OK, I realised its been a long while since I posted in here, so I took some pics of this pen before it went to its new owner. I am still making pens, but most have been just straightforward jobs and I haven't been photographing them. This one is to replace one that was lost, its a different...

I bought a Tokina 11-16 f2.8 a while back to do some real-estate photography, apart from using it for that job it has sat in the drawer virtually unused, until today. I had a spare 15 minutes this afternoon so I went for a walk down to the creek that runs past my house and took a few shots. Its...
