After looking at the thread started by Mr Murray, I decided to copy him and post some of my paper currency. I have a can full of coins but it is misplaced at the moment.

Went to the park today and saw fish eating the plants. ​There was about 5 of them in the one spot.

It finally arrived. I charged the battery, formatted a sd card and now all I have to do is get out and shoot it. Might try some moon pics tonight. Time to plan a trip to the wildlife reserve to find some Eagles and others. I am very excited. It should serve me well.

Does anyone useva flash bracket for their macro work? I have been looking at them on Amazon and I have been thinking about getting one of the inexpensive ones to try out.

...that's what I am trying to tell myself anyway. I just ordered a Veterans Day gift for myself. A D7100. Body only. I can't wait for it to get here. I am really looking forward to it. Now I will be one of the D5100 to D7100 people.

...is not as easy as I thought it would be. I got my Nikon 85mm macro lens yesterday and I played around with it a bit today. It will definately take some practice. I can see how a tripod/monopod could make this easier.

Does anyone carry bino's and a camera at the same time? I am looking for a way to carry both comfortably. I use a Black Rapid strap for my camera and I like it alot and the neck strap just does not cut it with the bino's. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Saw this birdhouse on the beach in Sanibel Island. I thought it looked cool so I took some pictures of it. This is the closest thing to architecture that I have.

Sigma vs Tamron I am thinking about getting either the Sigma 150mm-500mm lens or the Tamron 200mm-500mm lens to use on my Nikon D5100 or D200 for bird/animal photography. I wonder if anyone has used both and what they think about them. I know the Sigma has stabilization and the Tamron doesn't...

Saw this hog at the Circle B Bar Reserve, Lakeland, Florida today

So I went and got myself a D200. I think I did good on the camera, grip, 2 batteries and 6 cf cards. I think it will make a good companion to my D5100 and I am looking forward to using it and becoming familiar with it. It is a nice camera and has a great feel to it.

I have a D5100, I like it alot. I would like to get a second body to keep a different lens on. Which would be a good back up? A D80, D200 or a D300? I have seen all of those locally on Craigslist from anywhere between $300 to $400. I mostly photograph outside, birds, gators, etc.
