I like the dark branches in the background but feel the yellows and greens are a bit distracting. Hope you don't mind but I tried to see what I would have done myself and came up with this......

Like Tom says above maybe some of the BIF experts can help so I will tag them for you @wev @Woodyg3 and they may respond. I also have a D500 and D7100 like yourself and although I rarely do much bird photography I definitely get much better results with my D500.

@hark Cindy, I tried to send you a screeshot as requested through a private message. Here is a copy of two red notifications I received when liking two other posts at 5.19. I had already cleared all my new notifications when I logged in. Hope this helps.
