It's Baseball Season! Post Those Park Pics Here! Little Leagues to Big Leagues....

I waited all month for last night's game. After almost 5 hours of a rain delay, my beloved Indians lost. The game finished just before 3AM. I only lasted til 11PM. There were still a few thousand there to the finish. D5100 w/70-300VR

    Coffee and You..... Which group?

Yahoo just posted descriptions of coffee drinkers. Which group do you fall in to? • Espresso: Instant gratification, a quick hit, "the most grown-up of all coffee options," cynicism, sarcasm, even an aggressive cool hunter. Disdains healthy lifestyles, is moody, and sets high standards...

Does this make sense? Or just an impulse purchase.

I'm hooked on ultra-wide. I am really attracted to the Tokina 11-16 II for my D5100. I already use a Nikon 16-35 on my D800. The 11mm end of the Tokina is what I'm liking. I'm just wondering if there will be enough of a difference to make a $700 addition to my lenses. Any thoughts...

Cleveland, Ohio These tracks lead to the tall building, The Terminal Tower. The winding Cuyahoga River (once caught fire). The Federal Building is in the center (ugly building). Cleveland's tallest buildings... L-R, Terminal Tower, The Key Bank Building, and the BP Building...

For our American, English, Canadian, and other Allied Veterans

This has been around awhile but I think that everyone should be reminded every Memorial Day and Veterans Day. God Bless America and Her Allies! Keep it moving, please, even if you've seen it before. It is the VETERAN, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion. It...

The AT-X 116 PRO DX-II, has anyone used it on an FX camera?

On an FX camera the 11-16mm would become 15.5-24mm. Right? I just wondered if there are any negatives. If it is a performer, it would be a good lens for someone that has a DX camera and a FX camera. The price is a lot less than the Nikon 16-35 f/4.

A Poor Cemetery of Veterans and Other Forgotten People

Near my neighborhood, I found a small cemetery. I thought there might be some old headstones of interest and I decided to make a visit. It's a very poor cemetery that appears to belong to a church that is no longer in existence. Many of the headstones were damaged, and some were completely...

Every time I use my D5100, I wonder why I bought....

...my D800. The D5100 really is a good camera. Lightweight, compact, and it takes excellent photos. And, when it comes to the "kit" lenses, they are far more than adequate for 90% of us that take photos as a hobby. The following series was taken today with my D5100, 18-55mm, 55-200, and 35mm...

Lakeside Cemetery, and President Garfield's Tomb

James Garfield, from Ohio, was a President for 200 days, and then he was assassinated. Yep. Another Ohio born President that was killed on-the-job. Garfield was a pretty interesting figure, and if he was running for President today, I'd definitely vote for him. Garfield's Tomb is located on...

Storefronts...... the public display of urban art.

I realized that I am so attracted to storefronts because they are actually, in and of themselves, works of art. The store owner's creativity and workmanship is represented in each and every canvas made of wood, brick, stone, and stucco. Every attempt says "Look at me!" With that in mind, I've...
