Okay for comparison sake I promised a look at the 2 lenses. Hopefully this will show people the difference between the wide angle lens and the WIDE angle lens. Pic 1 is using the Nikkor 18-200mm set at it's widest. Pic 2 is using the Tokina 11-16mm set at it's widest. Both shot from the same...

Members Galleries seem to be lacking...

When looking for Members photos, I notice that there are quite a lot of people who don't have many shots on here. I must admit I'm looking in the left hand side bar which says Images and a number. I gather if it doesn't say Images the member doesn't have a 'Gallery' on here? Please correct me if...

My first attempt in focus stacking

Seems like we're all giving it a go. My first attempt at Focus Stacking. Using Australian $2 & $1 coins. I used the 18-200 Nikkor lens but I think I'd try a different lens next time. I had trouble knowing just how much to shift focus. Cheers, Brad :)

    Maximum posts per page?

Hi there. Just wondering if there is a way to increase the maximum number of postings I'm seeing on each page in a thread. Usually just half a dozen posts or so and then the reply box. Might be easier to navigate if we could see more posts rather than clicking on all those pages? Just a thought...

I prefer Jillspinsaround's pic of marbles but thought I'd have a go at it myself. 40mm lens under LED lighting. A lot more mood in the other pic. But hey, it gives me something to aspire to. Cheers, Brad :)

    Photos from the D3200

There were about 30 of us with tripods, various cameras. "Sound triggered flash". We all focussed on the subject (in this case a balloon covered with silly string) and then the lights were turned off. 'Everyone open their shutters', which we did. The demonstrator smacked the balloon with a...

My first trip in a balloon. We travelled over the wine country of Victoria, Australia. The Yarra Valley. Misty. I used the 18-55 kit lens I think. I took these photos on Automatic because I was afraid of screwing them up. After all, it was probably the last time I'd go in a balloon! Cheers, Brad :D
