File size. Not sure if there are file size limits for most of the hosting services. Not sure what it would equate to, but I first rendered mine from 1500 x 1000 images and used the "high quality" setting which ended up with a 300 MB file. That may not be an issue, but I've never messed with...
So, is there a good place to post a slideshow, besides Youtube, for inclusion here? I'd rather not use YT, if I can avoid it. I do, unfortunately, have an instagram account.
Also, what resolution do you normally render them for posting?
I got the idea to try my hand at a slideshow today. Doesn't look like the web based LR will do it. I looked up a video to show how to do it in PS. Not terribly intuitive, but once you know the secret handshake, the basics aren't difficult.
Having said that, it should not be a surprise, but...
Welcome. Hope this forum serves you well to grow in photography. I can't help you much with your niche of interest. This is pretty much the extent of my recent equestrian photography.
Much better. Can you get lower down to the water? Some interesting clouds/lighting might bump things up some.
OK, Fred beat me to it while I was typing.
Went out today to Cypress Gardens. Didn't expect much as we had a hard freeze a week ago. Still, I needed to get out and shoot.
About the only insects about were the butterflies in the butterfly house. I seldom do well with them for some reason. Today was no exception.
I leaned more towards the iron hand planes. I have a slew of Stanleys, and Millers Falls out in the garage. I also enjoyed getting some of the old socket chisels that needed some work. Having the lathe made replacing handles easy and fun. I even tried my hand at making totes and knobs. I have a...
I have a soft spot for old tools. To have a family connection just adds a whole new dimension to the mix. I've bought a number of old woodworking tools at fleas, pawns and antique stores. I enjoyed bringing an old tool back to functioning condition. I've got enough old hand planes in my shop to...
I believe the reason is to make the lens more secure when transporting it. The zoom gets locked down and shouldn't move when the lens gets bumped around.
Having a backup is a good thing. I still keep my old D3400 and a couple lenses for it. It's not worth that much to sell or trade, and even...
Never had that happen with my Z5. Hopefully Nikon will straighten it out for you.
Do you have another lens, and does it do the same thing? (Wondering if this is an issue with the lens itself.)
How about turning the camera on before extending the lens?
I had to clean mine yesterday. I was surprised to see a bunch of small motes, and one fair sized one. The rocket took care of most of it, but there were two that just wouldn't dislodge. I only saw the one large mote on the image.
I should probably leave that to someone who has the Sigma and is using it with a Z camera. There are lots of reviews out there on the Sigma 150-600, the Tamron 150-600, and the Nikon Z 180-600. Keep in mind that there are two different Sigma 150-600 lenses. A contemporary and a sports model. The...
The Meike tubes are what I have. They work fine. Again, I found the short working distance a little frustrating, but not a deal killer. You will want a diffuser for the SB-600. This is the style I have. They are cheap, work well, and store very easily.

Keep in mind that if you decide...
I find that using a small flashlight to shine obliquely on the sensor makes seeing dust easy. It also makes ensuring that you actually got it all a piece of cake. Saves you from having to mount the lens back up and take a picture of a blank wall. Also helpful to make sure it's clean prior to an...
Well, looking at your interest list, it looks like you already have landscape covered with the 24-70. You could temporarily cover close up with the 24-70 by adding a set of extension tubes. Long term you will likely want something like the Z 105 micro, but that can probably wait until you see if...
