    BIF - D500 with the 200-500 lens

    I am also learning this. I suggest working on your panning technique. For me this is just as important as the camera settings. Start wiith a slow flyer (i.e. Heron, Vulture) You can see in the following picture that the shutter speed is relatively slow (1/320) so for me panning is what worked...

    Monopod and head for D500 and Tamron 150-600

    I have been looking at replacing my cheap monopod/head for something better. I am that a Desmond DMH-2X1 Monopod Tilt Head and a Oben CTM-2500 5-Section Carbon Fiber Monopod may work but I am open to suggestions.

    For my 61st birthday I got a Benro GH5C gimbal, the "new and improved" collar for my Tamron 150-600 G1 and the Kirk Tripod Quick Release system with and additional plate. This should help with my wildlife photography. Luis
