What do you use it primarily for? Portraits? I just received mine from UPS yesterday and am looking for ideas on what to consider shooting with it. DO you like the lens? Does not having VR hurt you a lot with this lens? Thanks for any and all input!:joyous:

Which ones would you choose and why? If they got damaged, they would be replaced for free, and you would be guaranteed to have them for at least 10 years, and you wouldn't have to pay anything for them.

I was thinking of selling it, but have reconsidered since it will be great to have the D610 and a D7100 to compliment each other. Differing cameras do different things and it's nice to have a crop sensor AND a full frame. Unless someone comes up with a great offer, that's the way it will be...

As you know....I am shooting with both a D7100 and a D610. Which lens would be good for a 7100, and which lens would be good for a 610? I know I'm keeping the D610, but may sell the 7100. Please let me know. I want to get close but am on a limited budget. :cool:

My wife and I decided to take a day trip to Wilmington, mainly to see the ocean and go walking on it, but to alo go downtown to Wilmington, and shoot some pictures of the waterfront. We found out you couldn't take dogs on the beach, so we headed off downtown and got lucky to find a car show...

Both Adorama and B & H D610's are on backorder. Adorama can't give a time frame while B & H's website says they should get them in by May 12th. I'll betcha they are trying to take care of the D600 users who are seeking replacement cameras. What do you guys think?

Just out of curiosity, being Mother's Day weekend, where do you plan shooting this weekend? I may take my wife to the NC Zoo....it's so big we didn't get to see it all last time!

I just had to take some shots of our beautiful Rose plant in full bloom. It blooms all summer, but it's at it's peak right now. I figured I'd get in some shots before we prune it. Plus I was powerwashing the deck right afterwards which destroyed some petals.

Here is an article about HP's Billion Dollar color monitor that can show 100% of Adobe's color range. It is now quite affordable. I didn't mean Billion dollar.....it's a billion COLOR monitor...big mistake on my part. sorry!

I looked everywhere from Nikon's website to Adorama, to B & H.....and Amazon and I only found a few for sale. I was hoping I would find a refurbed one from the Nikon website, but it was a dead end. Hold onto them. They may be worth more than you know in a few years or right now.

I have a Nikon body cap or lens cap that has a white plastic dome shaped piece attached. It will not fit on camera body but I don't have any other body cap for the 7100. does anyone know what it goes to or how it works? I'll post a picture later today, but hopefully someone knows without...
