Longer lens. Also, once totality approaches, you gotta be pretty quick getting your filter...- Blacktop

Who's going to shoot the Total Eclipse?
Totality will be between 2:33 and 2;34pm around here. I don't know where the earliest time it will be visible in the US. I'll be using the d500 with the 70-200mm lens at 200mm with an ND filter. I took a test shots and with a 50% crop it is big enough. I shot it with 1/8000th speed (maximum)...- Blacktop

300 PF versus 200-500
Thanks for doing this @lokatz. Having shot with the 200-500mm for a over a year, first on the D750 and now on the D500 it is the best lens that I own. I shot everything with it from bugs to flowers to birds to wildlife, and it still amazes me sometimes. If I could afford and justify adding a...
