There's a possibility part of the US will be able to see a display of the Northern Lights tonight. Supposedly as far south as Virginia might catch a glimpse. https://patch.com/pennsylvania/doylestown/northern-lights-may-be-visible-weekend-pa

    Bracketing for a Sunrise

Taking sunrise photos is out of my element, and I've never done bracketing previously. So here are a few questions. I'm looking to take sunrise photos with its reflection in a lake. The images will be especially bright since the foreground will be water. The body will be a D750 tripod mounted...

    Post your Sunrises

I was out before sunrise this morning and was surprised to see this. Sunrise was supposed to be at 7:05am. This was taken at 7am so no visible sun at the time - although the sun rose from below that spot. What would cause this pillar of light?

Nicely photographed, Paul. All of the examples are unique and creative. But THIS one - OH. MY. GOSH! Does anyone else remember making paper chains with gum wrappers such as Juciy Fruit and Doublemint gum wrappers? They looked something like this:

    Upgrade from D3200 to ??

As I mentioned in my post, the model names are hyperlinked to Nikon's web site. THEY call the D850 a Professional FX body. If you want to split hairs over semantics, do it with them. I just wanted the OP to have the correct information.

    Hark 2019

This was taken after a small snow storm. Robins seem to come back to the area much sooner than they did when I was young. Sometimes they show up as early as before New Year's Day.

    Godox Witstro AD200 PRO

Sounds like Godox might be coming out with yet another Pro light in their line of lights. The Godox AD200 is already popular since it is more powerful than normal flash units yet isn't overly bulky or heavy. Godox Witstro AD200 PRO possibility: Godox won’t stop: Witstro AD200 PRO is coming |...

    Post your Birds in Flight

Turkey vulture taken at the same time as the previous seagull. I don't think I've ever captured birds previously when their wings were so close to being vertical. So it was surprising to end up with 2 different birds taken during the same outing.

Post your favorite February shot 2019

Although February didn't bring us any huge snow storms (which tends to be the norm), we had a few small ones. This lake had remaining ice and snow from a previous storm. My 24-120mm f/4 lens usually creates lens flare when aimed towards the sun. So far I haven't had a problem with not liking the...
