I don't really think the 2 are in the same league as far as professional features (DX vs FX), but if you want to compare basic features the D7000 does offer a lot for the price:

The price difference between these two lenses is about $1600!
I realize the 1.4G is an FX lens, has nano-crystal coat, and is crazy fast, but is it really worth the $1800 when you can get the f/1.8G for less than $200? Can someone explain a situation where you would even use such a high aperture?
I would like to move on from my D5000 in the near future. It seems that Nikon isn't going to make this decision easy. :)
So the D7000 has the following new features:
New EXPEED 2 CMOS sensor - 16.2mp
ISO 100-6400
Highest movie resolution of 1920x1080p @ 24fps w/ autofocus
39AF points

I recently found this photo on an SD card. My wife took it in 2003 when she was in Paris. I did touch it up a little in lightroom. You'll never guess what camera it was taken with.
Here's the EXIF:
ISO: 100
Exposure: 1/950 sec
Aperture: 8.9
Focal Length: 16.6mm...
Does anyone else find the new Facebook publish feature cumbersome? Each time you want to export to a new album you must "create another publish service". So potentially you would have a whole list of Facebook publish services for every album.

My first shot at making a time lapse video with lightroom - I'm hoping that next time I will be able to get the sunset into darkness with some better clouds.
Done using my d5000 - 10-24mm lens @ 12mm f/10 over a period of 1 hour. 200 photos total
More info on how it was done here...
If you every get a chance to see this place in person I highly recommend you do! It's about an hour train ride from Paris. This picture is of the north side of the cathedral.
Anyway, I took this with my 10-24mm wide angle. I did some editing in photoshop and after looking at it again it seems...

Anyone figure out how to disable the auto white balance? I'm experimenting with time lapse and I don't want the white balance to be different between photos.
Do I need just the eh-5a (EH-5A AC Adapter from Nikon) or do I also need the EP-5 ? (EP-5 Power Supply Connector from Nikon ) It seems like you need both, but it's a little unclear on the nikon website.
