    Post Your Birds (3)

@wev - I've mentioned this previously. I don't see in 3D so what I see is probably the same as when people look at a photo (2-dimensional). Yet when I see many of your images, there is a depth to many of them that is more realistic than what I see when I look around. Once in a while, it happens...

Post your favorite May 2022 shot

This was only my second time attending a parade (Memorial Day Parade here in the USA) although I marched in around a dozen during high school (piccolo in the marching band). It was humbling to see so many veterans participating in it. I shared the images on social media since I took them more...

    hark 2022

I don't know if any of you have heard of the Pennsbury Prom. Reader's Digest once called it the best Prom in America. Prom is held at the high school. Huge murals adorn the walls only for one night - based on a theme determined by the graduating class a year earlier. It's like walking into a...

This article showed up in my Facebook news feed. PBS (Public Broadcasting System) in Philadelphia is hosting some summer camps for kids in grades 6 - 12 ... camps which involve photography. What a great thing to experience. https://whyy.org/education/summer-camps/

I think there is a photo here. I just can't find it in my viewfinder.

As I was on my way home from an errand, I passed by this lake. Coincidentally it offered a similar view to the original image except for the lake vs the grass and road. I didn't have my camera with me but went home and got it making sure I had my 16-35mm lens. So I took the first pic to...

Head for Monopod with a Nikon 600MM F/4

If I were to get a monopod tilt head for something that heavy, I'd go with a Desmond DMH-2. Last fall I was searching for an Arca Swiss ball head and found stellar reviews for the Desmond Demon DB-44 ball head. It is just as rock solid as the reviews indicate. So based on its quality, that's...

    hark 2022

The other day I posted this image for the weekly challenge of Converging Lines. Since we are expecting more rain, I didn't think I'd have enough time to find a different subject. But this afternoon there was a short break. So I set out to find a different subject. After walking on this...

I decided to go back today and capture the building from its corner. 16mm really shows perspective distortion! ;) Keep in mind, the building isn't rectangular and has unusual angles for its walls.
