Outtake for weekly challenge - worn out

I think I've narrowed this down to Sorghum. It's growing next to my bird feeder.

In my yard

Purple Gallinule nest with two eggs. Mom came home with a dragonfly in her mouth and another photographer accidentally moved to her left and I missed the shot.

Molting?

It was in a bad spot when I first saw it. Then a found a little better spot.
